What do you need to know about wOBA?
Weighted On-Base Average (wOBA) measures the batter's ability to both hit for power and average. Although similar to Slugging Percentage, wOBA is a bit more complex to account for differences between types of hits and ways of reaching base, for instance where SLG would consider a double to be twice as good as a single, wOBA uses a different ratio.
